Forums - Nintendo - About next Nintendo Direct

Nintendo said at least one Nintendo Direct is coming this year.

I think this will be probably last big Nintendo Direct with focus on Wii U/3DS and biger announcements, because I expecting revealing of NX in first quarter next year, and every other ND after this will probably be in shadow of NX. So this will be probably be last event in which we could have some bigger new WiiU/3DS announcements before Nintendo start to talk about and focus on NX.

Nintendo Direct will probably be before Black Friday, so that means somewhere in next 3 weeks. I think/hope Nintendo will probably announce TP HD and maybe even Pikmin 4, Project Guard, and maybe something more..

What do you think, when we will have ND and what Nintendo will show us?

I predict that we will get the Direct before the end of this month. As for the purpose of the Direct I feel the focus will be on giving one last push for the last remaining games releasing this year (XCX, Ultra Smash, Amiibo Festival, Super Mystery Dungeon, Paper Jam for those in EU or in Japan) and maybe updates on other games (the DLC rumor for Tri Force Heroes, HHD stuff). If something is announced I don't expect it to be anything huge or release before the year is up but hey I'd love to be wrong.

(Yeah I know it's not the most exciting prediction but I always temper my excitement when it comes to these sorts of things)

Dammit, I thought we had a Direct announced. My hopes and dreams are ruined :(

And no. We'll have one last big Direct february-march about the 3DS/WiiU. They'll release everything they still haven't shown, whatever they can find (indies, updates, DLC, MyNintendo...). And in E3 they show the NX and its games.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

No, it won't be the last Wii U focused Nintendo Direct, but maybe thr last 3DS focused Direct, because the 3DS will be replaced first, namely in 2016. We will get another ton of Wii U Directs in 2016.

My predictions for the Direct:
-Twilight Princes HD with Q1 2016 release
-Pikmin 4 with Summer 2016 release
-new Download Game for Wii U that will launch after the presentation
-Sega Master System Virtual Console on Wii U
-New Star Fox Zero trailer + Releasedate
-DLC announcements for Tri Force Heroes, Super Mario Maker and Ultra Smash
-More Smash DLC
-New Hyrule Warriors Legends Trailer + Details on Wii U content
-New Pokken Character
-new amiibo
-short mention of Nintendo Account, My Nintendo, Miitomo
-Zelda Wii U Ganeplay with Eiji Aonuma in the end

I dont know why people love to ignore Nintendo statements. No, it wont be the last Wii U/3DS focused direct, since we will only hear from NX at E3.Not only that, but i believe Nintendo has more than enough content for them to keep 2 or 3 Direct full of content until E3.Not to mention about their mobile efforts and My Nintendo, ehich should keep us occupied until then

Now, about this direct i expect them to focus more on upcomming titles, like XCX, Mario Tennis and Mario and Luigi for example, but i think they will throw a surprise here and there, be it a eshop title, a VC game of an excellent game, or even a new big title(maybe Pikmin 4) but not for this year of course

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I disagree with when the direct will happen.

I erection it will be around the end of December. Most of their efforts from now until the new year will be highlighting the holiday titles via conventional means (trailer and what not). The next direct will probably focus on early 2016 titles

This is probably last time that they can push WiiU/3DS because moment they reveal NX sales will go down. I didnt say it will be last focused Wii U/3DS direct, but my point is that evry next Nintendo Direct about WiiU/3DS will about staffs that are already announced, after this ND there will probably not be any big announcements for Wii U/3DS.

I am pretty sure they will show NX before E3 if they want to have launch at end of year, similar like Sony and PS4 done with PS4/XboxOne.

Actually 3DS and Wii U will be probably be replaced at end of next year in same time because whole point about new Nintendo hardware is unified platform.

I dont see why they cant focus at end of this month on holiday titles and early 2016. titles, because this will probably last big push for 3DS/WiiU before NX is revealed.

I don't think there is any chance of pikmin 4 coming to wii u.
