Dear god, that looked terrible. The video was hilarious, but Yo-Kai can't be that bad, right? I mean after watching the video there's no chance I'm buying it, but still. I may not like COD but I get why it's successful. Level-5 did a brilliant job with Ni no Kuni, so I just don't know anymore.

Big take away is how battles are handled. Not crazy about having limited control on how they play out and so much randomness coming into play.

Because selecting between 4 attacks is hard now (which is what most turn based rpgs boil down to). This is one of the main reasons why I think the Mario rpgs are the best turn based rpgs out there (not counting srpgs).

So Level 5 took Dragon Quest VIII's monster arena mechanics, slapped some gambling and eastern mythology to it and called it a game.

And this is what sells millions each entry in Japan? Sounds pretty bad xD
