Forums - Nintendo - Metroid: The Sky Calls; 11 minute fan movie starring Jessica Chobot

I'd say the opposite. Samus in Other M at least looked like she had blond hair and blue eyes naturally, not a bad wig and bloodshot eyes due to contact irritation. Script was just as bad, but the Chozo stuff was at least in the movie. Still I thik Other M as a whole looked a lot nicer.

Even with the terrible wig, Chobot looked better than other M Samus, and the suit is leaps and bounds ahead of the OM suit. Of course the script is bad, but at least this one only lasted 11 minutes. Even then, I'd say OMs script was worse.

I'd say she looked much worse, but to each their own, and the suit pretty much the same thing. I prefer the lighter, quicker armor instead of the sluggish tank like armor found here and in Prime.

As far as it only being 11 minutes, it's true, but it's 11 minutes of the worst of Other M. At least there is some nice combat mechanics and a little exploration in Other M.

Haha. As soon as she started talking, I started thinking, "oh lord, so many people will be raging about how Samus is acting scared." I think it works fine, and I'm glad they did this. When will people understand that you can't have a protagonist be some emotionless robot as Samus is portrayed in the Prime games? That would be such a terrible movie.

The moment people are able to admit Other M isn't as bad as they keep telling themselves it is, is the moment we can all move on. Unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon.

QFT. This was like Blair Witch Project meets Space Odyssey 2001.

Ei Kiinasti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Agreed. My biggeest issues with Other M had nothing to do with the way Samus acted. I actually thought it was a pretty good game.

Visually impressive and I liked the script. But I don't like the actress and Samus talks too much for being alone.

By the way, I really enjoyed Other M. The only problem I had with it was that it was too similar to Fusion in too many aspects.

I thought Other M was great. I should play it again, soon.

Other M is an abomination. There's no fiction there. No propaganda. It's a fermented turd on the face of the franchise, and one of the most poorly designed games from literally every aspect I have ever experienced. It's worse than people say it is, and I will not let a single instance of condoning that game go on unaddressed. Literally everything about that's game is bad, both as a Metroid game and as a stand alone one.

And there you go, perfect example.

The dialogue and acting weren't very good but it's a good effort aesthetically.

Speaking of aesthetics... I never thought I'd care much for Jessica as a blonde, but... dayum!  That shot of her smiling is especially nice.
