So Nintendo said they were working on making amiibo cards to satisfy the demand of amiibo figures and they've responded with the Animal Crossing cards*. I think this is great since I think trading cards are much better to collect than figurines because they're usually cheaper and easier to find.
However, we've only seen Animal Crossing cards so far! What other Nintendo series would you like to have Amiibo cards?
As for myself, I would want the Smash Bros. lineup to have one. Would be much easier to collect them all as cards than $13 figurines! I wouldn't even mind if they were in 4 cards booster packs and we didn't know what cards were inside! The price would have to be less than $13 though and I guess it would be annoying to constantly find Mii fighter cards... But still, Smash Amiibo cards would be great alternative to the NFC figures!
*Unfortunately, according to the last investor meeting, the Animal Crossing cards faced overwhelming demand and shortages in Japan.
