Forums - Microsoft - Did Microsoft ship 24.5 Million Xbox Consoles

No, the 360 sales are way too small to make a third of the xbox one shipped numbers.

He is right.

Just the first quarter the 360 accounted for 3.5m from 7.4m.

So 360 is about ~9m (or even more) from these 24.5m.

BTW way old numbers too.

ZhugeEx said that XB1 shipments are a bit below PS3 shipments when you align launches, meaning somewhere between 15-16 million.

Only in fanboy dreams

well it could be more or less, the point is, there is no prove, even Microsoft is scared to shows us the real numbers

No, BEST case scenario for 360 would be 9 million shipped but it is more likely around 8 million (which is still a really slow drop off and shows the strength of the 7th Gen) putting X1 shipments around 16 million atm.

It's not even close to that, otherwise MS wouldn't have hidden xb1 behind xb360 and wouldn't have stopped giving shipment numbers.

What percentage of the total do you think are the 360?

Probably only 1/6th. Xbox 360 sales are pretty much dying if not dead.

Only Q2 2014 MS shipped 3.5m xb360, 3.9 xb1, yeah sure 1/6.

The numbers are missing the last quarter... with last quarter I agree Xbone is around 16m shipped.
That menas 360 accounts for 9m or even more to give the ~15m it was without last quarter.

Looking at the data here:
Q2 2014 Microsoft announced 7.4 Million Xbox Units Shipped (Xbox One Launched)
Q3 2014 Microsoft announced 2.0 Million Xbox Units Shipped
Q4 2014 Microsoft announced 1.1 Million Xbox Units Shipped
Q1 2015 Microsoft announced 2.4 Million Xbox Units Shipped
Q2 2015 Microsoft announced 6.6 Million Xbox Units Shipped
Q3 2015 Microsoft announced 1.6 Million Xbox Units Shipped
Q4 2015 Microsoft announced 1.4 Million Xbox Units Shipped

That would mean Xbox shipments is actually done year over year (January to June). And it might be even down more since they did not reveal numbers for their last quarter. Last year they shipped 2.4 Xbox in that quarter and this is taking into consideration the new launches in other countries which would elevate their shipment numbers. They might have really done a lot less this quarter than the same quarter last year.

Definitely no, those must be combined sales.
