That is disappointing. I'll probably get another game instead of Halo 5 then this holiday

Oh sure, they are giving their opinions on the video. But this isnt Youtube, its VGChartz. There is no topic to this thread.
Also, i doubt this thread was made from the kindness of your heart.
You want my comment on this? Ok, good for Joe.
Is there anything you want to talk about? You havent watched the video, so you just copy-pasted random crap and called it a thread. This is no different from plagiarism with an article.

Well, to be honest very little of Halo 4 plot is caried direct to Halo 5. After Spartan Ops I thought Hausy would be the principal antagonist. And the marketing didn´t help.
It was kind of disapointing how they handle the first half of the campain. There was no main antagonist like the Didact and the Covenant felt out of place after Lock finished Jul.
The last 1/3 of the campain is good though.

Ah, I got an old article. I found one on 10 million now. But where did you get the 7 million sold figure from? A link would be nice as google is only giving me the 7 million users articles. |
I could try to describe to you how a certain food taste like, but until you try it out you won't know how it is exactly. Most sites that are reputable and known in the gaming community gave this game a high score (8-10) and it one of the best games this generation. Playstation fans are downplaying this game because they know it is a huge system seller. I based sales of titan fall on logic. It sold over 3 million last year during august. http://www.lazygamer.net/xbox/xbox-one/titanfall-passes-the-2-million-mark-in-sales/.
Also, we know that if there was over 10 million unique players most of them had to buy the game so it is over 5 million at minimum.

Of course there is no topic to this thread it's just a video review. It's not an article or opinion piece.
Also why don't you stop assuming things because the reason I put it up is because almost all of his video reviews get a thread and I am subscribed and I saw no one put it up, so I did.
I'm not even sure what you're talking about with your 3rd line.
Except this is a video not a article, when I post articles I just paste the important parts so stop assuming things and why don't you calm damn, holy crap. What is wrong with you? You're acting like I murdered someone.
And as I said, I didn't put my opinion because I didn't want to watch the video because of campaign spoilers, just making the thread so other people can watch it.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"
The interesting thing is I am finding significant parallels with this review and his MGSV review. I wonder if Joe's opinion of MGSV would have been different if he was a veteran.

Of course it would have, that's how opinions are. Our opinions are based on our lives, what we've done, our environment etc. Someone whose first Halo game is Halo 5 won't necessarily complain about split screen because he's never played the first games so he would't have experienced playing split screen with his friends etc.

To me, he seems hesitant to evolution within the halo series. Yes, he grew up with it and it his beloved franchise but games need to change

Corrupt gaming media. Companies give out swag bags for their biggest launches. Keep giving 8.5-10's if you want to want to keep getting those. Why do you think some of the bigger sites reviewed AC:U so high, even though it was a buggy mess at launch.
Personally, it should have gotten a point taken off of everyone's review for blatant false advertising of the story, which is why I'm amazed that the game has a few perfect scores.

There's also the flip side of what happens if you're the poor reviewer who doesn't like X game that is both getting stellar reviews from other outlets, AND has a rabidly enthusiastic fanbase. Even without the external pressure of a bribe/swag/ad revenue/exclusive interviews, etc, there's probably also the internal pressure of asking yourself 'Do I REALLY Want Thousands Of People Screaming At Me On Twitter, Facebook, etc, etc For Three Weeks?' which leaves the alternative of either presenting as positive a score as you can without feeling like a total hack, or just skipping the review entirely. ...which, for something like Halo, most people aren't going to be able to get away with.
Anyway, the whole 'hate out of ten' debacle is usually an indication that the Internet fanbase in general does not react well to outliers, regardless of which super hyped title is being discussed today. Bigger the expectations, and the wider the consensus, the more violently the proverbial exceptions to the rule are reacted to. =P
