Also Monday is Cyber Monday. How much do consoles usually sell on that day?

In general across all good, Black Friday is still the king. But every year, Cyber Monday has gotten bigger and bigger.  So we will just have to wait and see what deals are offered.

Some heads ups.

Physical is WAY bigger than digital during BF, so serious GAF reports can be better than Amazon right now.

PS4 went #1 on Amazon sometimes last year, was #4 for a decent time early the year, probably there with Destiny launch, and actually also on BF, GTaV bundle stormed to #1 really fast, it sold a shit ton, didn't lasted much more than half that day, MS had the #2 as well, I believe with the AC bundle, it also went first went GTAV ran out, so both went that high during last November. Even so PS4 lost by a big margin that BF. I believe GTAV actually made to the yearly rankings even selling for just around 16 hours in a single day. Could be wrong on that, but I remember it was really massive for the time it lasted.

Last year reports were XBO winning big time, so with all we are watching, BF is going to be close, can be both ways, seems like it's even being better to PS4 this year.

Seems hard to PS4 not take this November when considering all that.

Better supply to last sales being #1 on Amazon.
Reports are a little favorable to it, were really against it last year.
Has been winning all month on Amazon, was losing all month last year.
Have really considerable amount of pre-orders from SW and CoD.

So I agree with Gribble, it may fall to stock only, if it lasts it wins, if not, things can go both ways.

The important chart for BF is the monthly and weekly. For the monthly the ACU bundle on Amazon was #2 and GTAV was #11. For the weekly ACU was #1 and GATV basically didn't feature. So it was very clear on Amazon that Xb one won Nov and it was likely to be a large margin. This time around Things have been definitely in PS4's favour for the black friday itself, but we'll see how the weekend progresses I suppose.

Neogaf has a new thread about people's BF experiences. Most of it is anecdotal of course, but may still be of interest to some. A few posts from guys working in retail as well.

This, I believe is the most important post to note:

Our district's stock of the cheap xb1 bundles is largely depleted, but we've got plenty of the uncharted bundles left, because Sony sent us a ton right before the weekend. Then we've got all these fucking tomb raider bundles people keep looking at like they're plague ridden or something. It's stupid.

Basically, last night and today have seen both systems sell really well. Definitely good. But why didn't ms send us more inventory of the cheap bundles? I don't get it. Sony stocked us up for their entire weekend.

(Sigh) is it closing yet?

It looks like Sony really stocked up.

Any one else wondering in theory.

Just how much stock is available of all PS4s and X1s and could it all sale out ?

We're likely to see a ~1 million months from one or both consoles. 50% of November sales is during the Black Friday week. So you gotta figure ~500K of each available at the start of BF and re-stocking may not happen until Monday or Tuesday. So if there are sell outs all over the place then you can figure that ~500K was available and ~500K was sold.

I saw lots and lots of ps4 bundles in John Lewis today in the UK. I was only in the store for about 20 minutes. I saw staff wheeling out crates of bundles to replace stock. Not a single X1 in sight.

MS would have supplied what retailers ordered, though they may have choked off supply for certain bundles to try to move others. So for the cheap bundles MS may have said to each retail chain that they only have X of the cheap bundles available, which means if the retailer wanted Y Xb ones and Y>X then the retailer would have to make up the difference with other bundles. That's the problem with having a multi-bundle strategy. I do hope that in 2016 we see both console with cheap bundles of 8th gen games.

For whom? The console that runs out can't sell any more. The console with lots of stock may not have sold much, but if it's the only thing left in stock people might just decide to buy their second choice console because they want something at least.
