Yeah, I'm still waiting for Snap to come out the darkness lol. Although this is wishful thinking... Yeah, I read some reviews and they have some valid points. It's not a game for everyone's taste, that's for sure. I like the controls a lot. I don't know yet if it's repetitive, although I did 2 missions in the same place, so I guess that's a fair criticism. I like how the game fear factor doesn't come with jump-scares, but more with the creepiness, the setting and some sick situations. That's somewhat refreshing. Because horror games nowadays relies a lot in jump-scares, and I'm tired of them.

Jump scares do nothing for me in games or movies. I completely agree that its atmosphere which can actually make you feel the tension... The only one this gen I've experienced that in is Aliem: Isolation, and you spend much of that game not actually engaging the enemy.

Yeah, I completely agree. Horror games/movies relies a lot on jump-scares, they rely so much on them than you can tell when they are going to put another jump-scare lol. I must say that FFV doesn't achieve that tension level Isolation manages to get, but it's very nerve-wracking when you are surrounded by enemies. The Gamepad adds to the tension, because you are actually holding the camera. I miss maybe that kind of tension when you are chased by a enemy which can insta-kill you. That works wonders in Isolation, and I think that would be great for this game. I don't beat the game, so maybe there's a lot more than I've seen. We'll see. But, meanwhile, I think reviewers were too harsh with this game.

I really like it. I've only played the demo (2h30min and I died so I haven't finished it). I have no problems with the controls, the graphics are fine, the cutscenes are pretty good and the game is fun. It's not perfect, some things are not as good as they should be, and I'm no expert but to me the game screams low budget. But, it doesn't mess with the overall quality of the game. I've only played 2h30min and it may be too soon to talk but the game looks so much fun, it's very japanese and it's scary and well done , I feel like this series could be very, very big if done right. Japanese culture is very rich in those scary stories, the settings are perfect for a scary game like this. I just wish I could got dressed as a geisha and kill ghosts with style xD

I would get Project zero maiden of blackwater but the price is too high. There is no standard edition, the only version availible in the uk is the limited version which is selling for £57 {$88) on amazon uk.

Im really enjoying it so far, the atmosphere is great, still getting the hang of the controls, although i havent upgraded my camera as yet, im still trying to figure out the best way to dodge attacks from spirits when they lundge at you.

Comments of players are pretty positive on NeoGaf.

Controls arent great bit the same can be said for many survival horror games. Theyre usable but like like all res evil games youd be better able to handle things if it was real life . It does seem a little silly and over the top at times. I like japanese horrors but perhaps they could have shown more restraint. The english voice acting really doesnt help. Ive not played enough to give much of an opinion. My very first opinion was this is silly but after playing a bit more it caught my interest more. Ruff around the edges for sure... Might be good but im unsure if i'll buy the full game.

I've completed the demo and I already love it. The prologue + chapter 1 are mostly tutorial but the chapter 2 was awesome. I'm gonna buy the full game soon.
