I am very sad to announce that my over 3 year old 3DS has a crack above the R shoulder button and whenever I open and close my 3ds the crack seems to open too. What should I do?? I'm thinking of getting the New 3DS...Can I still trade my old 3ds to get 100 dollars off??... I love my 3DS.... Best handheld I had since Gameboy Advance SP... or should I wait for the "NX" to come out?

I work in a shop that repairs phones, tablets, PCs, etc and we repair the screen on a 3DS as well, they are very annoying to repair so I think you should probably get a New 3DS and I doubt you will get a decent offer from Gamestop with a cracked screen sadly =/

We don't know what the Nx will be. That's unfortunate, though... Not sure they'd let you swap in a broken 3ds.

I've long planned to get a new 3ds xl but only want that majoras mask one, so I'm still checking ebay for a reasonable price lol

If I were you I'd wait for a few months right now, if there are any games that are announced for the 3DS that you're looking forward then trade it in, if not just wait for the NX, whatever it is the Handheld will come first/at the same time as the home console in 2016

Sorry to hear that, m8.

Hmm, if you use your 3DS a lot on say a daily basis, or there are some upcoming games that you are looking forward to, then I would say get a N3DS.

Otherwise, I'd say just wait.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

If it is unfixable, and if there isnt any game that you want thats going to release betwenn now and E3 2016, then i say wait for information about NX.We are not that far off, and if the NX is backward compatible, might save you some money. And hey, who knows, maybe the 3ds by then is cheaper.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Did you ever drop your 3DS?

Did it crack around the hinge? You could always try to glue it. If not, get a new one. 2DS could be a good option if you don't need to carry it with you.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Has it actually been confirmed that the NX somehow involved the successor to the 3ds? I know there's hints that it will somehow link the console (NX) with the handheld, but that doesn't really equate to being the next handheld.

NX is supposed to be unified hardware (or platform) to be used for home console AND handheld.
