Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo and DeNA Stocks Plummit More Than 10% After Investor Briefing, Lose $2.48 Billion in Market Cap

Well that sucks. :/

I don't think this should set them back too much, though.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Somebody don't like Nintendo?

I never thought reading/hearing something like that.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Time to buy some Nintendo stocks then.

I don't think it was because of the delay. In my opinion, it is because their first mobile game seems bad and generic. I bet that if they annouced Mario, Zelda or Pokemon (other than Pokemon GO, obviously), their stock would rise.

At last, a post with some perspective.

Well, I'm sure they may increase once we actually know what else they have in store for us (like a DIRECT.)

BuTs Nint3ndO hAz unl!mitED m0n3Y!!!

Investors buy low and sell high, so if Nintendo has clearly peaked they will just all abandon ship overnight.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

@padib - With these mobile games development Nintendo is already a third party developer. I know they are not leaving dedicated systems. But let's see how they fare as mobile developer.

Nintendo aren't even making the mobile games though. That's what Dena are doing. So no, Nintendo themselves aren't developing 3rd party games.

Nintendo is a 3rd party publisher though.  Nintendo is involved also with the development of these games. Nintendo is a 1st party publisher/developer and a 3rd party developer/publisher.  Much like Microsoft with minecraft.
