Nintendo really should start thinking global with these names. It's fine calling things "Miitomo" for Japan but in the US? Not so much. They should just create different names for different places.

Tomodachi Life had little problem in the west.

Great I was hoping these were the types of games they're gonna make, leaving their real games to the dedicated devices.

For literally never coming through on what they say publicly. It's getting to the point where it almost seems like they do it on purpose.

Right.  Because the death of the CEO and president of a multinational company would have zero impact on the business.

The only people laughing are the people that look on from the periphery without knowing what they are even looking at.

Well I guess Nintendo stockholders must not know what their looking at considering it's dropped 10% since the announcement. You cannot spin this into good news.

"For example, some Nintendo game consoles incorporate Mii, which creates a digital avatar to represent players," Iwata said. "It would be fun for players to use their Mii characters as icons on social media. We are currently developing an application that will allow users to do that. The app will be announced around the time our full-year results are released."

HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THIS!?!?!?

Sweet, now I can check on my anime girl Miis while at work.

Err...what I meant to say what was, what a casual game that I have no interest in. *shifty eyes*

I think Miitomo is going to function very much like Rusty. What they showed off is the free, social part of the app. The paid stuff will likely be Rusty/Streetpass-like mini games you can play with your friends. If I'm right, this is a really good idea. It's my idea of a Words With Friends-like app, but with multiple games on one app.

If each game is like $0.99 or something, this could be big.

I don't think "real games" is a fair thing to say. Miitomo is a real game. (with a great name, honestly) But yes, the premium games are staying on dedicated platforms, which should have been obvious.

I was hoping they'd start with Mario, but this makes a lot more sense for the game I predicted, which seems to have been on the money so far.

These guys can't even make a mobile game on time. As for the game best of luck taking customers from the likes of EA's the Sims on mobile. If this is the future of Nintendo on mobile then it will be short lived.
