Well at least we now know how it´s called
Edit: I saw the details of the program, seems good but I need to see how it works by myself.

I want it to be good but since it's from Nintendo I know there's going to be something about it that makes me say WTF.

I wonder if this point system will be as comprehensive as trophy/achievement support on other platforms, or if it's just based on playtime or game completion. I don't really care for trophies (though I have no issue with people who do), but if this system does the same thing while giving me tangible rewards, then I'll find a lot more motivation to Platinum my games (or whatever Nintendo is going to call it). March is so far off though...geesh. |
I really feel like it's going to be some sort of achievement program instead of time, because then anyone can just leave their wii u and 3DS on 24/7 and just rake in tons of points.

That was already confirmed. What's exciting is that My Nintendo (fucking awesome name) has any interaction at all with their movies. These are exciting times. Nintendo's brand is going to explode in 2017. Mark my words. They are doing everything right.
Also, notice how the My Nintendo is launching in the same month as Miitomo. Just like I said. The first Nintendo game is integral for getting people to sign up for this. Miitomo is going to be the gateway drug for people to become apart of My Nintendo - and thus the NX. Genius.

They could do it like Rapr on PC and have a daily limit to avoid this. Mixing both would be ideal imo.

What are you talking about?
Since there's nothing new I believe they're hiding something about the membership program because it's proably highly focused on the NX...
