Forums - Nintendo - Guess how many Amiibos have been sold ... it's 21 million

I don't know if I should be impressed or scared of future implications. But maybe they can make a cool Samus Amiibo Festival for NX to raise the brand awareness. /s

But seriously, good to know Nintendo has found another revenue for profits.

Lock if old hat.

edit: So apparently posting a twitter link outputs the image.

Congrats, that is a lot!

At least they are starting to restock the old Amiibos, so it's pretty nice to be able to get Amiibos that were really hard to get before.

Wonder if the Amiibo cards would sell really well if they were released for other Nintendo IP

Damn that´s more amiibos sold than wii u consoles worldwide

Jesus, who would buy all these darn figurines???

...*hides amiibo collection*

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

That's quite decent, for some year or so on market.

For reference, Skylanders sold some 250mil figures from 2011, can't seem to find Disney Infinity sales numbers.

WOW!!!! Very Impressive for almost a year!!!!!!! Especially how there isn't any games yet that YOU REALLLY need an amiibo to play it. The closest thing is Mario Party 10, but you can still play 2/3 modes and all the minigames without it. Basically you don't have to buy amiibos to REALLY miss out on the game you bought.

I wonder how the amiibos will work or change for the next Nintendo console. Obviously the Amiibos won't stop on the Wii U.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Might use a bump, 12 hours later and the number is as shocking as I first read it. I had no idea there was a market for Amiibos but boy..
