Strapping a screen to your face is not "VR". No matter what a lot of companies may say otherwise. And when VR is perfected I really don't think gaming will be the first priority. It'll probably serve other purposes first like for Make-A-Wish and such

I edited a few ^^ but maybe the trend wont be there, but when i talk with my mmo guilde on TS, at least half really want one (i talk about many VR not only psvr) now many won't have money for early buy, but at end i really think this will take ground for make more generation and more buyer.

Perhaps half might want it, but the pricing is still pretty heftly, and you have to doubt that many big games would be made with the cost of development, and the amount of games it will be able to offer. It would be difficult for the consumer to justify that price tag. Its like 4k resolution in TVs, wait until prices drop and more companies support it, althought i have to doubt that will be the case with VR.

It's a lot cheaper than 4k! A 4k projector is still $8,000. The TVs are pretty affordable already but it's the lack of content that's holding off my purchase of a 4K tv. Yet GT and DC already have something in the works for VR plus there are many more interesting games in development. Besides that, VR is a lot more exciting than doubling resolution again.

The choice for me will be, shall I buy an XBox One and get access to some more exclusives or get a ps vr headset and get a whole new experience.

I'll probably get it at some point, but I don't see myself getting it day one though.

I honestly just do not expect VR to sell very well

I'll give it a shot but won't be an early adopter, want to see how the market reacts to it and then how the industry responds before putting any money down on it.

first time in jail for attempted murder and he gets VR treatment, to experience a scripted program that can change his/hers perspective of the world

There is a word for that and it's called brainwashing. And it can have mixed results:

Buying both would be a bit much next holiday season.

It's a gamble though, rewind to 2010 and it could be the same as the choice between a ps3 for some more exclusives and Kinect for a new experience. I hope VR fares a lot better in reality though.

VR will flop once it launches

Is this a sign of the possibility of VR to become mainstream? First time I notice it used in a commercial (not for advertising vr)

Looks fun (VR, not snack bites)
