If there's one major problem with Naughty Dog, its that they didn't milk their past games enough:
-Crash Bandicoot
-Jak and Daxter
It's good that they're trying to approach uncharted a little differently. It'd be a shame to end the series on short notice

They are just probably going to stop working on it for a while, like for the rest of ps4 there wont be uncharted, but i dont think it will be forever, since it is one of the most recognizable sony franchises.

Well, i really dont care about multiplayer, but as always im not too fond on the microtransactions, but if everything is unlockable by playing, its not that bad

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Thanks god! Sony finally embrasing better performance (60fps) rather than higher resolution. I would be so happy to play Uncharted 900p 60fps than 1080p 30fps in SP. They should do this with Horizon Zero Dawn as well :).

900p 60fps > 1080p 30fps.

That's not how it works though, dropping to 900p doesn't double the frame rate not even close. Even dropping to 720p only increases the frame rate by about 50%. No multiplayer will also be clearly less detailed then singleplayer. The drop to 900p was probably needed as an extra margin to make it a constant and stable 60 fps.

Yeah, you're right. But the thing is, i never care much about resolution in the first place, i care more about the performance. In my personal experience, If a 60fps game dropped to 30fps, you would rarely noticed, but if a game dropped from 30 to 15fps, you would see the laggy immedietely. But then again, this is 3rd person so i guess 30fps is more than enough :). I would still love the effect of 60fps tho, it's just so smooth, making the game very enjoyable.

Unfortunately, Crash is belong to Activision so they can't do anything about it :(. As for Jak & Daxter, im 100% agree :D!

Would have been better if they opted 900p and 60 for the campaign as well. 30 frames just doesn't feel next gen to me. Game looks great but when your playing it, the 60 frames is what my eyes love to see.

i have no idea. after a while listening to PR, this seems like gameplay items call all be unlocked through in-game currency, while not all other items can be. however this is just what i make of it. so, just copy paste what the article says and you are good lol.

@underlined: ughhh that blows BIG TIME. i hope this isnt for main weapons. i hate to have to buy stuff before each match. just let me unlock something once, then let me have it for good, even if it takes a while to unlock it.

I suppose everything will be clarified eventually.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

900p 60fps > 1080p 30fps.

The graphics have also been scaled down a fair bit going by the multiplayer trailer. I personally am for better presentation during the single player. 60fps is great but I've never had problem with 30fps in a third person action adventure game.

But 60 fps on multi is for comp. Probably hoping the multi gets some of that behind it.

- there will be microtransactions (urchase various weapons, tools, and upgrades) "from the outset", but gameplay items won't be behind microtransactions.

So weapons, tools, and upgrades aren't gameplay items then? Am I missing something here?

It reads as follows:

Players will be able to purchase various weapons, tools, and upgrades, but the studio has made it clear that every item can also be earned through in-game currency

The price of 60 fps lol.

I would have preferred 60 fps for SP and MP, but at least this is a start. Also, microtransactions at launch sucks. After what they did to LoU, I'm expecting some meh things.

I hope this signals a shift on PS4 where frame rate and performance are put above resolution.
