Forums - Gaming - Looks like No Man's Sky isn't coming to Xbox

That sucks. Oh well, though. Still looks amazing.

To all the people saying it was already announced as console exclusive, it was first announced as first on PS4 with no mention of console exclusitivty and just this E3 I don't think they ever mentioned exclusitivty because the next day on PC Game Show they announced the Pc version was coming same day as PS4. So the console exclusivity was sort of in the air until today.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

This game should just stay on PC. I won't be buying it for my PS4. It looks like the equivalent to watching an Opera. 😴 I'm sure Xboners don't even want it. But if they do, they have an M$ product for that.

I could have sworn we knew this was PC and PS4 before, could be wrong. Still looks awesome even if the distance from release makes it that little less awesome. Ah well, there's more than enough to keep me occupied until then!

it was announced as "first" on ps4 which implies there is a secondary release.  platforms for the secondary release where never announced except for a pc release.  that left the window open for an xbox release and phil once made mention he wanted this game on xbox.  this was the first time it was ever referred to as a console exclusive.

I think I may get it on PC if it's not full price.

Well since we're waiting tull enxt summer that's a most likely for me.

Sucks that Xbox or Wii U fans don't get to take a shot at it though. just another thing that happens when someone swoops in with money in hand.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Was there any doubt it would be otherwise? I like the new trailer. I'm sure this will be the best sci-fi game this gen.

Developers have been evasive every time they were asked about the Xbox version.

This kind of deals take time. Look at "Titanfall", it was a whole three months before EA declares it was a Xbox console exclusive.

Better Sony pays enougth  to compensate.

I don´t know what this game is about any more. Too much talk of VR might make it too demanding and limited I thought it was suposed to be Minecraf on esteroids.

Too bad to ms fans, not much gain to sony players. Let's see If it will move hw

Info was released that this will release on the PS4 and PC while sony has been actively backing it. Anyone that thought it may be on the xbox one, it was just wishful thinking. Sony most likely paid for some of the development costs to expand the game beyond what the devs intended and the marketing of the game.

It's not like minecraft at all. If you wanted to a sci fi game that actually lets you explore a galaxy, planet by planet while fighting and trying to make your way to the center of that galaxy (on some quest to save everyone most likely) , this is that game.

Did anyone really think it was heading to Xbox? I was never under the impression it was ever hinted on landing on that platform

As excited as I was for this game, the more I see from it the more convinced I am that it will grow stale almost immediately. Scale has never been a sufficient substitute for gameplay and content.

Hope I'm wrong, of course.
