In getting hyped up for the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles X release, I've been listening to the XCX OST on Youtube. And to my disappointment, several of the most popular tracks this weekend were copyright claimed by Sony Music Japan. Not just one channel, but all instances of these songs:

-The Key We Lost

-Codename Z

-Theme X

-Your voice (vocals to Theme X)

-Mono X

-Wir Fliegen

-And some of the rearrangements of those songs, amongst others

I would guess however Nintendo got Sawano to compose the soundtrack, Sony Music Japan is somehow involved.

I can't help but think of SMJ as a bunch of spiteful jerks that wish ill upon on our beloved XCX! Just seems so weird that Sony evidently has a way to content id XCX.

Several other tracks are still up for your listening pleasure though!

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Edit: The publisher is indeed Sony ...

Why would Nintendo be unhappy about this? I imagine Nintendo stands to benefit from sales of the soundtrack.

I've always noticed a lot more uproar on the internet when Nintendo does it compared to Sony, Square-Enix (you weren't allowed to monetize any footage of Dragon Quest Heroes on youtube whether it was a review or let's play) and other companies though.

I love its OST. Ugh. The anticipation is just way too much for me.
It comes out a day after my birthday, and I have a show to perform in the day before my birthday.
