what are the confirmed numbers for both? sorry, but i am not using VGC numbers. but with splatoons success, i can see it outselling Titanfall. 

According to Nintendo, Splatoon has sold 1.62 million the first month ( 30 June 2015 ).

Those numbers are shipments +digital. Since that, it sold another 350k in Japan ( accordint to Famitsu ) and over 150k in the US ( According to NPD, but those are only July and Agust numbers, so, don't including September ).

Splatoon is confirmed over 2 million by September, but tomorrow we will know the real numbers ( i expect around 2.3-2.4 million ship+digital by end of Sep ).

About Titanfall, well, the only numbers we know are between 1 million and 1.3 million in the US in 2014 according to NPD. But those numbers don't including bundle and digital. It's easy over 1.5 million with retail with bundle+digital.

To be honest, i expected Splatoon to sell good... But... Not THAT good... In Japan Splatoon has even sold more than mario kart and is the best seller game on Wii U.

Congratulations, tak. You've practically confirmed that Wii U won't outsell Vita life-to-date by the end of 2015. That's unless the numbers for the Vita are adjusted to more sane figures given how much the PSP seems to have sold, but that's off-topic.

I personally predict that Nintendo shipped 530k, and that both America and EU+RoW is overtracked slightly. I personally doubt Nintendo overshipped for the past two quarters in Japan, and Super Mario Maker bundles should contribute to them overshipping for Wii U this quarter.

The real question for the quarter is the 3DS, however. Already down year-on-year and still just one really big title for software numbers in Q2 FY2015.
