So he hates gore. Hardly a suprize. He didn't force them do anything. He gave some suggestions and the hand shaking ending sounds like he wasn't intending his suggestions be nessasserily taken to literally. If he'd asked for more gore then I would be shocked.

This is why Miyamoto shouldn't lead the company.. He's a legend, but he's tired, and that kind of idea is what Nintendo must avoid at all cost...

Tired? This quote would have been from when he was arguably in his peak. I don't remember the end sequance to Goldeneye at all. Perhaps shaking hands with all the cast would have been slightly more memorable.

Bet it's his fault too that we can't kill our neighbours in Animal Crossing and hide the bodies in the Town Hall's dumpster. Instead we have to say "Sorry" twenty times for turning the console off.
