The PS2 is the best home console ever made! I may be bias since my top 3 favorite games ever are on it, Persona 4, FFX, and Dragon Quest 8 :3 other than that it had amazing games like a ton of SMT games, Persona 3, FF12, SotC, SO3: Till the End of Time, and many many others

hmm, "my favorite games are Persona, FF, and Dragon Quest, but when I came to VGChartz I decided to name my account StarOcean..."

hmm, something does add up. :P

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why I did that. I think its because I thought StarOcean was a badass name v.v XD

1) How much did you like the system?  It was fantastic, the amount of rpgs on it.... good console.

2) How does the PS2 fare when compared to other consoles you like? Honestly its up there with the best of them.

3) Do you still own a PS2?  Resently threw out.

4) Do you still play games in it? Emulation only now, but yes.

Ps2 was great. My favorite Playstation system is between the ps3 and ps2.

Can you link me the video you're talking about? Nothing shows up on my iPhone in that post :( lol

Thanks mate. I actually recently watched this same video earlier this year. Loved the nostalgia trip it takes you on.

On topic though, I'm actually playing my ps2 this very moment with gran turismo 3 a spec. It's amazing how well many of ps2's games hold up 15 years later.

One of my favorite memories is finally getting a call from GameStop in early 01 telling us they got a limited shipment of ps2 in and since they let us reserve one months earlier, we were able to get it. We didn't have any money left afterward so we went straight to blockbuster and rented like three games for it.

Werent able to get a memory card till months later cause they were so limited back then lol.

The launch lineup was actually weak but it eventually became a legend. In like a year, actually. This system got more truly amazing, genre-defining games (for their time, duh!) by the end of its second Christmas than all current gen consoles in their entire life, so far.

1) 2)The Ps2 was an excellent system, but it is number 2 for me.It just loses to the Super Nintendo.

3)I still own one, and it is still plugged to my TV!Last game i played on it if im not mistaken was Silent Hill 3, and good lord, it scares you more than modern horror games.

The PS2 was a masterpiece system, and deserves every love it gets.I played so much in it, i cant remember how many times i needed to send to repair.Good times...

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Most sold console ever, one of the best consoles ever.

I buyed used PS2 fat last week for around 8e and chipped it for 8e, and I am really happy. :)

As far as I'm concerned we could still be using PS2s today instead of ever having moved on

I'm kinda in the mood to boot mine and play some random obscure japanese ps2/ps1 games on stream.

1) How much did you like the system?

A lot, it's probably one of my favourite consoles.

2) How does the PS2 fare when compared to other consoles you like?

Pretty high in the list, I'm not sure where I would put it though.

3) Do you still own a PS2?

Yes, I have 2 actually. Both are broken.

4) Do you still play games in it?

No, they are fucking broken.
