Not sure if its been talked about, or even sugested. But something that could give a massive head start to the NX and has been fan requested for a while now. CONSOLE POKEMON HD MMO. Its now mandatory for the NX since they aree sharing a library by the console and handheld. 

My reason are:

1. Fans have been asking for this for a while, but nintendo only does spin offs on consoles for pokemon. Now they wont have a choice but to make a mainline pokemon on consoles.
2. MMO might not have been possible before, due to handheld specs limitation, but now it should be way simple, or to at least make group questing.
3. There is a massive following on pokemon, with the higest selling being the original yellow/blue/red selling 31m and the most recent x/y selling 13m.
4. Pokemon is by anual now and its an aniversary next year so there could be something big anounced and this could be it.
5. Most early fans droped it cuz it got stale, but this would call a lot of old fans back to the series.

The NX, a console we don't know anything about whatsoever, might indeed have a chance!

A MMO, hell no.

Perhaps not an MMO in tradition, but an MMO like destiny is an MMO.

Im saying that a console that we know nothing about has a game and practices that everyne knows everithing about, is sure to come, cuz it always comes with every handheld and its always a big seller. Even the console spinoffs tend to do on average side at the least. Even if its nt a full MMO, its a console version of traditional pokemon in HD, it will surely do well.

I feel that MMOs are usually a hit or a miss.. though I'm sure a Pokemon MMO would do really well

Definitely has a chance, like with every console, but it really depends, since we don't know much about it still :/

IMHO until there is a handheld Game Freak will only focus on it, still, we could very easily see an HD version of the VII° generation overworld and battles on our TV...

of course since the hardware will be very similar expect even more spin-offs, I'd really like if GF started making Pokémon Ranger a series that pushes the home console specs...
Plus I'd also like them to establish the "second main series" for the Home console combining Pokkén with Stadium/XD

If the NX is a hybrid, and the handheld part can be sold separately, yes. Pokemon always moves handhelds. No need for a big MMO just yet, though.

A pokemon MMO could do quite well, I think, but what NX really needs are fresh, attention-grabbing sotware beyond what we typically think of from Nintendo consoles, good versions of classic franchises, and a complete selection of retro games played on a machine that is fresh and appealing to core and casual gamers alike.
