Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter V - 3rd Beta - Starts tomorrow until December 20th

I was able to play a good 2 hours of the beta. I had no problem getting a match, I even would have wanted to get more time in the training room because when I picked new characters, I didn't even have time to check out all their moves before being thrown into a match (where I got my ass kicked).

I did manage to score a few wins with Chun Li and did actually pretty good with Cammy. It feels nice not being matched against pros all the time like in SFIV. All in all, I think I'm going to enjoy Street Fighter V a whole lot and can't wait to play with VGCers.

This was my first SFV beta and eventhough I was late to the party I managed to play about 10 hours. Netcode felt really good, there was only 2-3 matches where it was really bad and "skipped" a lot. Combos are too easy, no way around it and once people really practice you can expect max damage combos from every opening. Anti-air buttons seem too braindead, like you don't really need any timing at all just press and it works. Rhythm of the game was first really strange and coming from SFIV you gotta press the buttons slower, hitstun/blockstun is significantly longer in SFV. Movement is not bad or too slow IMO and especially dashing felt strong. First few matches I got bodied hard trying to play like SFIV but then it just clicked and in a way I could play the fundamentals just like in SFIV. I predict it will be a tough road for non-fighting game players once SFV releases. This time around there will be a lot of SFIV and SFV-beta veterans and the so called newbies can expect to get bodied/destroyed for a long time (way worse than when SFIV released).

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

My record in this beta:

1 win with birdie

1 win with cammy

2 wins with ken

1 win with chun li

and like more than 40 losses.

I sure hope the final game have aa matchaking that puts newbs that never played street fighter(me) with noobs and good players with good players because it was soul crushing and i felt like a idiot losing so many xD

Street Fighter is incredibly cruel to new players which is why I hope I (or someone here) can create a nice VGC community once the games comes out because it's much more fun to learn against someone who's close to your skill level or slighty better. The best part is being able to get  feedback after a match on what you did good, what you did wrong.

This was the information for the 2nd beta:

Beta redemption keys will be e-mailed from the retailer you pre-ordered from. Once you get your beta key, you can input it immediately into the PlayStation Store to download the Street Fighter V Beta client.

Users who pre-order digitally through the PlayStation Store will not need to redeem a beta key, but will need to manually download the Street Fighter V Beta client from the PSN store. If you had access to the first PS4 beta you will automatically have access to the second and there is no need to re-register.

I presumed it will work in a similar fashion for the 3rd beta.

cool, thank you. (+ rep)

couldn't find a straight answer on other sites.

There has been update today and the timing is interesting since PSX is hosting Capcom Pro Tour Finals and possibly some sort of new info on SFV, I think beta could go live next weekend.

Can anybody tell me how Cammy plays? I've read she's became abit more of an all out offensive attacking style now rather than the tactical blocking then attacking and picking the right opening as in SFIV.

Cammy is a rushdown character in SFIV so....I don't know what is this tactical blocking you speak of.
