Series Total:

Microsoft announced  months ago that the series sold more than 65 million already. On VGChartz the total for the series is 59.97 million (Xbox + Xbox 360 + Halo: MCC) not including PC and mobiles ofcourse .

"343 Industries’ dedication to deliver on the game’s epic potential is born out of the past success of “Halo.” The first game, “Halo: Combat Evolved,” launched with the original Xbox console in 2001. Along with “Halo 2,” it sold some 15 million copies and was the killer app for the original Xbox. “Halo 3,” “Halo Wars,” “Halo 3: ODST,” “Halo: Reach,” “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary” and “Halo 4” together sold over 40 million copies on Xbox 360. And “Halo” sold even more on mobile, other PC games and The Master Chief Collection retrospective."

Eh. If you factor in digital, I'd say VGC is pretty close actually.

If PC and mobile are included in the 65 million number, VGChartz could be overtracking Xbox 360 games.

I hope that number doesn't include non Xbox versions. Digital + some undertracking here and there across 10 games could explain the 5 million difference. But you'd think Microsoft will say close/over 45 million on Xbox 360 if PC and mobile aren't included.
