You find in unacceptable? Ha. Could you be more entitled? You find everything MS do unnacceptable. Whats new?

They are a company, companies exist solely to make money. Results of individual hardware items is very much a phenomenon of the gaming indutsry. Few other do it, few others care. Its ALL about revenue and profits. Surely you are sensible enough to understand that by now?

Anyhow, off on my holidays now. Cheer up, no need to be downbeat about it.

Yeah but guess who makes more losses and profits here? Xbox Ones are still the old launch model and they are selling them for 349 bucks. They make clearly more loses while Sony kept scalling down the PS4 thats why it dropped in price recentley.

Pease stop to make stuffs from nowhere.

Companies shares hardware numbers... there is few that didn't... you can look for any market if you wish... even the number of cars sold is public shared , smartphones sold, etc etc etc.

samsung does not share unit numbers
ea does not share unit number (okay that is not hardware). most other publisher does not share unit numbers
amazon does not share unit numbers
sony does not share unit numbers (if they are not meningful to them and theire shareholders anymore)

and several other

there are many companies who share unit numbers. and enough who don't.

Funny, I don't remember many from this thread complaining when Sony started hiding their numbers last gen, making those invested in console sales have to do guesswork on all Playstation hardware numbers.

And yeah wow I guess MS did it because they were losing the hardware race. Unlike the other two generations where they shared hardware shipments, they must have won those. Oh wait...

I wasn't on these forums back in the day, but Sony has never completely hidden hardware numbers. The closest they have been was for Fiscal Year 2012 (and only 2012) where they combined them with PS2 shipments, like MS has been doing all this gen, and like Sony did again in the first few quarters of this gen. We still got overall Playstation shipments from Sony in 2012, and we got the exact PS3 shipments for all the other years.

And the intention was? :)

As far as Microsoft leaving the console race goes, I don't see it happening until either A) their PC gaming presence is substantially bigger and we'll established or B) Xbox sales all but fail.

As it stands they are very well positioned to profit off of both markets. The caveat? On the PC side they're going against steam and wont be able to touch those margins for a long time. On the console side? They're losing to Sony and have, at this point lost that battle. So while MS might not be remarkable in any of its late ventures, it still brings In a fuck ton of money and it wouldn't make sense to nuke the Xbox brand at this point. With the rise of certain technologies, and given their hardware sales, whether or not they want to invest in one more console gen remains to be seen and it will probably be a reactionary choice to how certain services are embraced.

Why are you so mad, OP? It's not like you wanted M$ to succeed in the first place. 😌 Just admit it.

I admit, I want M$ to fail this gen. Eat some humble pie. So, they wake the fuck up and not release weak ass hardware ever again. Then go beast mode on their next box.

Not everyone can be first place at the same time. But it doesn't mean the other bitches are failing super hard. Why keep kicking these losers when they can't even get up? If you want to blast M$, there's N4G and YouTube for that.
