More expensive than Mario Maker bundle? I was just checking Amazon Japan and there the SMM Bundle sells at 34950 Yen (List price 35640 Yen without Amiibo, the one with Amiibo sells at 37650), so almost 1000 yen more expensive than the Splatoon bundle and 1640 below it's list price.

It could be cheaper though, but it's not more expensive than the Mario Maker bundle, at least not at amazon's prices.

Amazon adds taxes and stuff, official price for the SMM bundle is 33k yen.

Actually, 34000 yen is the price without taxes, so the the bundle is in reality 34000 yen + 8%, so 36720 yen.

Wow, why is it so expensive? It doesn't even have a custom design. What is Ninten thinking with this one..?

Are possibly the 3 Splatoon Amiibos included (or at least one of them)? That would at least explain the pricetag. I can see them depicted at the side of the box and there's an amiibo logo on the front of the box

Edit: Or maybe the Artbook is included, which sells at 2400Yen afaik

Nintendo's own site mention absolutely nothing than just the standard system and the preloaded game.

I just find it strange that:

1. It's more expensive

2. There's a sticker with the splatoon logo and some text on the front of the box, with an arrow pointing to the side of the box, while the splatoon logo is on the box anyway in much bigger letters

3. Amiibos are pictured twice on the side of the box, plus something I can't discern

Something is amiss here, I think we'll need more infos before we know for sure what is and what isn't in the box

Jeez. You'd figure they would at least put some Splat shaped stickers you can decorate your Wii U and gamepad with.

The might as well change the design of the console or the game pad (like the colour. Instead of black or white)

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo stopped manufacturing Wii U back in 2014 so making limited edition paint job for future bundles is highly unlikely.
