I agree with everyone else. 6th gen. PERIOD. -but my God, it was/is a hell of a console!!

The NES was still being shipped by Nintendo in 2003, so does that make it a 3,4,5,6 gen console?

The PS1 I believe outsold the GameCube and Xbox for 2002 and 2003.

Yes but the PS2 outsells the 360 and PS3 still. I doubt the SNES outsold PSone, GBA outsold DS, etc.

They sold well, but I don't think next-gen well.

Honestly, 5th Gen should be xbox and Gamecube, As PS2 is considerably weaker and came out before them.

I hate the fact they call it "gen", it's not like they all came out at once.

I agree the word gen is wrong. 360 is considered same gen as PS3. Everyone thinks since 360 has a big lead and their same gen (as PS3) that 360 is owning, when its the exact opposite.

The only current gen consoles that should be same gen are Wii and PS3 (1 week apart)

Well, giving PS3 and WIi are almost completely focusing on different demographic of audience and their vastly different price-range.

It's really no different when it comes to comparing a Toyota and a BMW. Saying how Toyota is PWNING BMW would only get people saying.. "hmmm, so what?"

both same product, but focusing on very different people.

 Haha, that reminds me. Some of my mates stole a kitten while drunk a couple of days ago. 

I wonder if they figured out where they stole it from yet?
