Great that they're being so transparent. Thought I still stand by the idea that not localizing the VA in this game makes it DOA. Shame.

They're not wasting money on useless VAs? Oohhh, another reason to support this. Thanks I wasn't aware of this

From my experience, no matter what country I have been in, and the ethnicity of the people, when it has come to anime, manga, Chinese films, Japanese films, etc people people prefer subtitles to dubbing. I wouldn't be surprised if this translates to video games too. Personally, I would rather play yakuza games in Japanese like I always have. It helps with the immersion of being in Japan and part of the world they have created in the game.

For the most part I pefer any foreign media in its native language unless the voice actors are really well known or really talented.

i have the japanese version. here are infos
(no story spoiler, but maybe gameplay/setting)

yakuza 5
+ i play it more than 100 hours
++ amazing and emotional ending
+ 5 great japanese citys
+ 5 playable great characters
+ winter-settings are really cool !
+ animals, dance, minigames..
+ i love the story/characters

my opinion: yakuza 3 was boring, yakuza 5 is awesome. yakuza 4 is good. i buy the english version too :)

Good to hear but FO4 is occupying my time until Uncharted 4.

sega, lets go... we wait and wait and wait and wait. the sales are maybe terrible, but the game is really great for action-adventure and japan-fans.
