i have the japanese version. here are infos
(no story spoiler, but maybe gameplay/setting)
yakuza 5
+ i play it more than 100 hours
++ amazing and emotional ending
+ 5 great japanese citys
+ 5 playable great characters
+ winter-settings are really cool !
+ animals, dance, minigames..
+ i love the story/characters
my opinion: yakuza 3 was boring, yakuza 5 is awesome. yakuza 4 is good. i buy the english version too :)
