Third party dev kits do matter. The last thing you want for a launch is for third party devs playing down your system in favor of the ps4/xbox one. The best way to do this is to not rush third party devs, and to give them as much support/funding needed to make solid games.

Even the wii had Just Dance, Skylanders, and Guitar Hero to massively propel sales. To dismiss third parties would be to replicate gamecube level performance (better than wii u given the fusion concept, although the fusion idea is also not set in stone)

Aside from the DQ game, there is no game that is sent in stone going to the NX, so there is no point in hoping that pikmin/zelda/retro/3d mario will be ready at launch. The article itself was using speculation as a basis for some of its info, so I wouldn't be sure about ME: andromeda.

Again, NX is about combining handheld and console. Combine 3DS and Wii U first party libraries and you can have an ideo of what NX is. Third parties doesn't matter a lot. NX is 2016 and everything about the theory of Fusion is becoming reality. Just accept it and move one.

The same thing could have happened if Nintendo sent out dev kits (too all devs) earlier, and not rely on simple ports. There is only so much you can do on pc without having the specs of a console. Especially if you want to create custom engines (which work perfectly for games that are not ports) for max optimization.


Nintendo will have to distinguish their platform in terms of functionality for that to happen again (Maybe they will). I'm not sure Ubi will do that tactic again though. It worked well for them on the Wii because cost of production was signifcantly lower then compared to their competitors and the system was doing something unqiue that PS3/360 couldn't, this isn't necessarily the case going forward but we'll have to wait and see.

Monster Hunter and Youkai Watch aren't important?  It would be interesting to see Nintendo tell third-party developers and publishers that they have Fusion now and don't need anyone else.  That would be quite interesting.

Interesting, will wait and see what this actually means..

So it's really pointing to a 2016 release as a fusion console

Can't wait for more NX rumors to pop up :p

I don't think this is even remotely as big as the DeNA announcement. After the membership is officially revealed, I don't think anything else will be quite as big until we get legitimate leaks for the hardware.

Which is likely happening this weekend/Tuesday. The maintainence that use to say "all" now says "Nintendo Network ID." Eshop and NNIDs? That's definitely for the membership.
