Having to pay for it

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
Games going all digital, and still being $60, would make me quit gaming.

There's a pretty big chance I'd quit playing new games. If they become digital-only, be always-online and 100% focussed on 'social' multiplayer aspects, it's done. Without a second thought.
However, the third through seventh generation have a substantial enough library to keep me entertained for centuries. I don't really need new games.
I confess that the more games have intrusive micro-transactions tye more turned off from the game i am. MKX, Assassins creed unity and others. They are especially dangerous if you have your credit card details on ypur account. A misclick and your money goes, a child picks up your controller and your money can go. Its extremely dangerous and in those games i am constantly in fear of what i click in menu's. These are full price premium games. These are unacceptable F2P practices.
I can see my self getting tired of gaming if every game does that. Its impossible to imerse yourself and enjoy the game that way.
With that said... i wouldnt quit gaming but i would quit buying new stuff.

I would have to agree.
Though all these virtual worlds may feature main charaters with supernatural strengths, powerful futuristic technology and severe mental instabilities leading them to commit unspeakable acts without remorse, the one position that I can't possibly imagine putting myself into is that of a homosexual character. I understand that video games oftentimes are supposed to bend reality in order to offer new creative ideas and perspectives, but you have to draw the line somewhere if the immersion is to be preserved.
Digital only gaming.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.
