if its remade from the ground up like WWHD was, then it has the potential to be pretty good. that's what im hoping it is and not just upscaled and called ''hd''

Calling WWHD remade from the ground up is exagerating. It has updated models and textures, but they certainly don't seem remade from the ground up.

Remade from the ground up:

Windwaker HD

To use R&C as an example again, Windwaker is more akin to this:

I'm honestly OK with just a graphical overhaul for the game, but if they were to add anything, about the only thing I'd want is a Hero Mode or a Master Quest. If they could somehow implement Wii MotionPlus, that would be cool too.

The game itself can stay the same though. I don't mind the long beginning, and changing any of the dungeons would be blasphemy.

The models aren't updated at all. The cleaned some textures, upped the resolution, changed the lighting engine, added gamepad functionality, and added some little tweaks to gameplay. Apparently they updated the soundtrack, but I can't hear the difference at all. Love WWHD, but the remake was just Aonuma flexing the Wii U hardware a bit.

Hero Mode please, it is too easy. Also populate the world with more characters and side quests.

skippable cutscene's and tutorials
hero mode and mirror mode
able to use either the Wii remote or gamepad or procontroller

Is it weird that I would be completely fine with nothing more than an upscaling? I love everything about it--I just want it in a higher resolution.

I guess I don't feel like every game ever needs to be tweaked and perfected until it's flawless. But having a clear image is always something I wish I had with old games. Jaggies is no good.

Well, it obviously needs to be in HD
Other changes is probably some sort of Miiverse connection (like Tingle Bottle)
and rebinding of controls to the gamepad (which shouldn't be hard since it was also on the GameCube)
Map and items on the gamepad

Still won't believe in this rumor until it's officially announced though

They should remove the shadow bugs that you have to destroy in the 1st three dungeons. While they are at it remove the horrible intro. This will improve the game by quite a bit.

Considering the game was probably being developed shortly after Wind Waker HD, I think we'll see graphic updates and a Hero mode. Twilight Princess was a beefy game already, I really don't see what else they could add to the game. An extra couple of dungeons would be welcomed though.

Wind Waker HD wasn't made from scratch. It's the same engine, same models, same textures, same everything. They upped the resolution to 1080p and went all out with the lighting, bloom and other visual effects. It paid off in the end, but the core game is the same as the original.

I mean, look at the original game running at a higher resolution using an emulator, that looks already incredible: http://www.pelaajanvalinta.fi/WebRoot/PV/Shops/tamsi/4CA4/6E3A/9860/C5D2/BBED/0A28/1008/7C5B/The_Legend_of_Zelda_The_Wind_Waker.jpg
