Forums - Nintendo - What kind of changes do you expect from twilight princess HD

So if Twilight Princess HD is real, i heard many people saying that "only graphics" wont be enough to justify a remake.

In Wind Waker HD Nintendo already made some minor changes to improve the gameplay a lot.

Things like faster sailing didnt work on TP though.

My expectations:

I remember anouma saying as he talks about zelda wii u, that he wasnt 100% satisfied with the "in area cutted" world in previous Zelda titles. It was because of hardware limitations that time he said.

So i think Zelda TP wont have any loading screens in the over world. You can just walk fluid from one section to the next, so the world will really feel connected and alive.

What are your expectations?

Graphics Whise I hope the game will look similar to the Zelda  tech demo shown 2011/2012.

Here is also a fan made HD-look for TP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RAQRZNPHxw

Doesnt look to bad either, but I hope wii u version will be even better.

if its remade from the ground up like WWHD was, then it has the potential to be pretty good. that's what im hoping it is and not just upscaled and called ''hd''

NND: 0047-7271-7918 | XBL: Nights illusion | PSN: GameNChick

Master Quest mode

Both sides of the 'mirror', both motion and tradtional controls supported

Refined motion controls with motion plus

Multiplayer for minigames

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

-Revamped graphics (textures, lighting, etc.)
-Improved dungeon design
-Additional content in the overworld
-Improved controls
-Hero Mode
-Something else added in

Overall, similar to WWHD but I expect the graphical difference to be larger here. WW was a game that didn't need much change in that department.

I never played TP (crazy right ?) but I've seen some gameplay and as far as I've seen the wolf form needs some major improvements: not only it plays exactly as link but it movements look really bad... don't get me even started on how it jumped from stone pillars...

How do people forget how long that tutorial was.  For gods sake let me skip it.

If they are going to make my fave game ever in HD, it has to be damn good of an improvment, especially graphic wise

I don't think anything substantial outside of a massive visual overhaul. The biggest problems with TP are much too ingrained into the core design of the game to reasonably expect them to be fixed.

You example of a seemless world won't happen, for example. The maps are devided into separate rooms. They weren't designed to be connected like that, to taping them together like that would very likely require a massive redesign of the map to accomidate this so that walls don't overlap, etc. That is just too much work for something like this. That's more than MM3D had in and of itself.

These are my expectations:

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Improved graphics, textures, resolution and effects looking like the 2011 tech-demo
Hero mode
Return to the GC set-up due to Gamepad
Map and inventory through Gamepad
Bigger wallet
Automatic horse engine from Zelda "U"

They aren't going to change anything in-game. That would be too much work with no gain; even in Ocarina and Majora's remakes, which were real remakes, they didn't add or change anything significant. Master Quest for Ocarina, already existed. TP HD's intro will be the same because they aren't going to rewrite the script, the dungeons will be the same because why change some of the best in the series, the overworld will be the same. I'm not aware of anything that was cut from the game, on the contrary, it probably used cut things from the other games, so there's not going to be anything to restore either.
