Well it needs voice chat anyway. I literally cannot handle it I feel like I play with nothing but idiots on my team. I kill everyone on  the other team and die in the process. But it doesn't matter the area we need to paint to control it is completely open. Meanwhile everyone on my team is at random points of the level painting like its turf wars. Can't deal... Without the ability to coordinate the game really just becomes annoying. If they make a 2nd this needs to be fixed.

I wouldn't say it sucks. I've played some online matches and it's cool.

Still can't see how voice chat can help when like half of the people I play with are from Japan a majority of the time. I can't imagine a group of people who all speak different languages being any less confusing than it is now.

What rank are you in? It may be that you are just playing with low level (and low skilled) players, but once you get a bit higher up in the game, people's general skill improves a lot and it works just fine without voice chat. It's not like voice chat can make a bad player become a good player anyways, that takes practice (and quite a bit of it).

But painting turf is the purpose of the game? Unless you are talking about ranked, of course

I'm fine without it honestly. I think it would be a worse experience for me, but I guess I could always mute it if the function is in. Voice chatting wouldn't always be the best especially when you play with people around the world because of the language differences :/

I am in B rank. And I dont know I suppose they are just painting to get their special up. But it annoys the hell out of me I had to rant about it to some splatoon players lol. I just lost 4 in row for what seemed to me like no reason at all. I had no idea what these people were doing.

Just play more matches dude. Believe me, the more you play, the better the players will be that you encounter. Its just the way it goes. You're probably a low rank.
