Well, this is just what i learned in bio and human studies at uni. I would have to look for actual evidence though. Hehe ill admit i do tend to just trust my lecturers.

I do remember some site dedicated entirely to rece and racism, and that also talked about those ideas. Im going to bed now, but tomorrow ill have a look for it. It was a pretty interesting site actually.

edit: ...i dunno.  Any mention of race at uni and school was about how it doesnt actually exist.  I just assumed that was the common idea in science today.  I dont really know.  I couldn t really find anything that scientifically argued that race does exist.

I think the reasoning as to why were not genetically different, is just we havent been seperated long enough.  If it had been maybe another 100,00 years or so before globalisation happened, then we might be different enough.

Yeah, it's used wrong, I have had cracker, honky, milky and all sorts shouted at me, yet that is not considered racism. However I was once called a racist for talking about the episode of peep show where jez has to wear black body paint for Nancy and all I said was it was one of the best jokes in the show, I didn't say anything vulgur or racist.

Basically I just want to know what makes reverse racism as it's called more acceptable than regular racism.

My two cents, and I'm out: Someone made a statement about certain races being taller or more clever, and such. As for the physical aspect, I can understand (if you just generalise). Asians are short. Blacks are this. Whites are that. Hispanics are this way. I could argue, but it's kind of pointless.

It's the comment that certain "races are more clever" that concerns me. I believe that we are a product of our culture. If too much emphasis is placed on material things, you're going to be raised to be materialistic. If your family grooms you to be a scholar, you probably will be. If your culture is all about pick-up trucks and country music, that's who you'll be. There ARE cultural differences. It's when you take the time to learn about other cultures, that you learn how to appreciate other people.

I was born in Chicago, but I was raised in small town Georgia. If I hadn't gone into the military, moved to Texas, Atlanta, and Miami, -if I hadn't exposed myself to more of the world than whay I grew up around, I would be pretty one dimensional too.

I can fit in with the hip-hop crowd, the thug crowd, the rich, and the poor. It's not because I'm so awesome. It's because I had the chance to learn about so many different types of people.

Physical attributes can be overlooked. It's when people have preconceived stereotypes.....it's when people act like stereotypes, that feed racism.

Hopefully, as u said, if physical differences exist, it seems that intellectual differences are absent or at least, completely UNsignificative compared to other factor as education, school learning, culture.

At the opposite, I think it was proven that the size doesn't seem to matter and was not related to IQ (what I learnt at school).

AND, even if u show that brain size is related to IQ, do you know WHO has the biggest brain ?

Well, technically, they are different but not by much. Different races are susceptible to different diseases while immune to others. Sickle Cell Anemia is a perfect example. There are other natural attributes such as height and build that differ slightly between races.

But really, those are just byproducts of living in a different environment for a long period of time and evolving to best suit that environment (dark skin in hot climates, blue eyes in cold ones, etc.) and the differences are so minimal that it's not really an issue.

In reality, race is an arbitrary line in the sand drawn by man based entirely on appearance. There are no real defining traits that make one person one race vs. another (such as Hispanics technically being called Caucasians because of Spanish influence), just a set of traits that lumps them into one "group". Really, it's just a bunch of bullshit.
