There are different races of humans because of the varying pigments in our skin and other attributes. Much like other animals who have varying characteristics that alter themselves from each other in different species.

Discrimination of religion is not racism, it is just discrimination. I do not see many people being associated with racism if they are discriminating because of religion.

We do have different races so racism does exist. Nationality racism is tricky because it can be associated with race.

color = race

racism = discrimination between race

For me it is not about racial differences (since I believe statistic differences exist), it is more about classification : 1 is better than another.

Note : even if I consider races exist, I also try to NOT focus on them when I judge/consider on someone : he is a human entity before being black/white/etc. Also, since people mix eachother, races are disappearing with time.

The words racist and racism do get thrown around a lot latly, but it's always getting thrown around by a minority with the biggest mouths.

Technically racism is supposed to only refer to the belief that some races are inferior and discrimination based on it, but words change, and stuff like "age racism" is a widely accepted word in Finnish these days.

You could complain that it's not what the word is supposed to mean, but then I'd tell you to go cry in the same corner with the people who think lame should mean the same thing as crippled, disinterested and uninterested should mean totally different things, and it's incorrect to say "third alternative" because the term comes from the Latin word for "second". Oh and awful = awesome, right?

After a few linguistics courses I find it extremely hard to take linguistic prescriptivists seriously.

But colors essentially equal races...they are different, by the color of the skin as well as common physical attributes.

So that's what racism about, different colors. Of course blacks are no different than whites besides color, but that doesn't mean racism doesn't exist.

like all dogs are dogs, even if DOBBERMAN is different from BOXER (sorry no time to translate french dog name) but they are all dogs.

 I think race is just a nicer way of saying "breed". Of course, us humans don't like to call ourselves breeds because it makes us seem too animalistic, and we wouldn't want that now, would we?

Coming from suburban south east England, I have to put up with a lot of racism. The racism isn't directed at me, of course, as I am white. But just hearing everyone around me making comments like "black man's gonna rape ya" "I hate them muslims, always bombing us" or "Asians can't drive" "You're Indian, so you're poor" "You're Polish so you're stealing our jobs" "You're cosovan, so you're stealing our benefits".

I hate hearing it so much, but I can't stop it, as it is nearly 60% of the people I know. Most of these people are 
really nice aswell, until you get onto the subject of race. 

Both racits and racisms exist, this is a fact and they will never disappear untill the human race disappear.

All I can say is being White or Black, Tall or Small, Smart or Laid, American or Iraqi aren't our personnal choices, I didn't choose to be algerian but I made a choice to be a Nintendo fanboy and I'm so proud that means how can I be proud of being Japanese or american or something like that where it has nothin' to do with my choices, I can't be proud because I'm a son of a wise king man no. I can't choose my father.
I am muslim this is my religion my way I believe that there's only one God and He is the one who made me the man I am why because in my relegion pretendin' superioty because you're a man not a wife because you're white not black because you're arabic not foreing because you're muslim not christ is a sin and I beg God day and night not to be a person like that.
