Well, I can only work with what you give me, which isn't much.

Understanding the context of the spiderman quote isn't rocket science, nor is understanding that using parodic versions of it is self referencing in use.

I don't have the time to give you paint by numbers versions of simple English construct.

The word "exclusive" has become so tiresome. I love playing games and I like to have games on my console that aren't in other consoles but I don't give a damn about which console has the most of whether or not they are on home console+ handheld or home console+ PC as some kind of measure of exclusivity or, even worse, some kind of measured of quality.

But only if said self referencing coincides with that is being parodied, which in this case is not.

Because Spiderman has spider senses does not mean Spiderman is a spider.

Let me know if I have to break that down further.

I do have a sensibility for knowing when something being said is hipster, not sure how that makes me one, lol.

You said your hipster senses are tingling.

Spiderman says his spider senses are tingling.

Spiderman's spidey senses don't allow him to sense spiders, so why would yours allow you to sense hipsters?

If spidey senses come from his being part spider, he's been infused with spider DNA, than your hipster senses must come from you being part hipster.

If that's not the case, you're using the phrase "my hipster senses are tingling" incorrectly.

If you said something like "my hipster radar is going off" to parody, "my gaydar is going off," it would better match the point you tried to convey.

Because being called spiderman, shooting web from his wrists, "catching bad guys, just like flies", scaling walls like a spider, and all the other spider-traits he has don't mean a thing right?

He does not become a spider, no, but the way in which he functions and behaves are influenced by the effects of the spider bite.

In the same way, there is no physical "form" for "hipster" beyond dress sense and grooming routines which are influenced by the attitude that comes with the lifestyle, and way in which someone functions and behaves through the influence of being a hipster, as such the comparisons are in key.

I digress however, you simply used the term "my hipster sense is tingling" as an attack towards me without careful consideration to what you were actually saying, and are now fighting to defend it based on nothing more than a desire for your initial attack not to backfire, so what you are in effect doing is continuing to affirm your initial attack and thus make it a sustained attack.

Fortunately for you, I'm not the type of moderator to dish out warnings or bans or even reports on people based purely on someone making a person attack towards me, especially not when it was done in such a ropey and misguided way.

Well, I can'tsay I've never been bitten by a radioactive hipster, still Spiderman isn't a spider.

My hipster senses being able to sense hipsters is just my special power. ;)

If you are taking something I said jokingly as a personal attack, you really need to lighten up.

Even if I did take it as a personal attack it wouldnt change how I responded, though im pressure sure if i were to make a similar "joke" to you, regardless of if i claimed, several posts later that it was a joke, you would not take it as such. But either way, your joke was fatally flawed, as pointed out by me and now others.

Better luck next time.

I stated in the original post it was a joke, and it isn't flawed at all. Lol.

Edit* Oh and Spiderman doesn't have the ability to shoot web from his wrists, He creates cartridges to artificially create webbing, nor does a spider have its webbing come from it's wrist. He doesn't really behave or function like a spider either. Spiders don't shoot web at their prey, turn their prey in to the police, ect.
