Or übersuperhyperextreme niche game even? huh?! :) It's a quality game with good ratings and it's like a mainstream horror movie. There's not many games like that on the market so I don't think why you are downplaying it now. But I see you've already made up your mind so have it your way. |
I have, it's a niche game no matter what you say, I'm not sure why you're trying to argue that it's not. Also, I'm not downplaying Until Dawn, I'm talking about FM6. It's the 6th game in the series with 2 spin off games and Until Dawn, a new niche game outsells it. I was just pointing out how people were saying Forza 6 sold well, when it didn't. It's suppose to be one of Microsoft's top games and it sold really bad when compared to the previous titles.

I wasnt. You have talked about Until Dawn in every post and I find it's useless to compare it with Forza for reasons you can read from previous posts.
"It's suppose to be one of Microsoft's top games and it sold really bad when compared to the previous titles." Now this comparison makes alot more sense and that's why I said it hasn't sold as well as it deserves. But let's see how it'll perform in the long run before throwing bombs around shall we? :)

The first post I made I was praising Until Dawn for outselling one of Microsoft's top games, even if Until Dawn came out before. And the second part of my first post I was saying that Forza bombed. I used Until Dawn, a new niche game which shouldn't have that much sales too compare Forza 6.

@2009 2009? Nice comparing the 360's 37th month on the market in the UK compared to the Xbox One's 23 months. I'm also sure the 360 sold more than 1.5 million in 37 months which would make the Xbox One unbelievably successful in the UK. |
I got wrong numbers from GFK... I don't know why maybe I was drunk.
Fixed numbers.
360 UK installed base of consoles by June 27, 2009: 3.9m
The 360 user base was bigger... twice the Xbone user base today.
Forza 2 launched in 2007 with lower userbase but I don't have Forza 2 numbers but looks like it did really great too:
"‘Forza Motorsport 2’ has an excellent launch week, becoming the 3rd fastest selling Xbox 360 title ever (behind ‘Gears of War’ and ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 6’) as well as the 4th fastest across any format so far this year (behind ‘World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade’, ‘Final Fantasy XII’ and ‘Resistance: Fall of Man’)."
Thanks for the list. Forza6 bombed in the UK which is surprising. I think the downloads would probably be same for all games. Looks like PS4 is doing really well in the UK. heavy Rain did great in the UK but Until Dawn came from no where and still do good. It will be interesting to see how well Froza6 does in NA. Considering there is no competition like GT7 so far and Pcars I don't think is doing great in Xbone as well. I thought Forza6 would be in top3 behind Fifa and MGS. Having said that, holidays and bundles should still help the number in 2015.
Until Dawn performing better than I expect and I'm glad it did! But SMM is a bit underwhelming.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
