Does anybody know if the following games are available for the Wii?

Dr. Mario (was available in NES or SNES)

Battle City (was aviailable in NES or Nintendo Family Computer)

If this 2 titles are available - then this would make me get a Wii.

Dr Mario is coming to Download soon - Next month i belive for 1000 Wii points and features 2 player online, The other game is not on VC at the moment.

Excellent. When Dr. Mario comes, I will definitely get a Wii.
That is the killer app for me.
Nostalgia.. it's quite expensive. :)

viewtiful_jon is talking about Dr. Mario for WiiWare, not the Virtual Console. I believe it will also be released on the VC, but that is based off of rumors based on ESRB ratings, which could have been misleading due to 2 games with essentially the same name.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Dr. Mari's Virus Buster or whatever it's called, will be out on the Wii for download in May at about $10, and it will have 4 player action, co-op and multiplayer, and online. Booyah.
