Did you watch the video? He was being incredibly stupid.
Why was he trying to light a match on a lighter anyway? Rechecked the beginning, so the whole thing was the lighter, still doesn't make it much better since he apparently didn't know how to use the whole thing. Why does he put the burning lighter in a bag full of paper, why does he keep putting cardboard boxes on the fire? I mean, I know that you would panic in a situation like that, but the mistakes that man has made should not be made by an adult person.

that he saw the fire in it's early development yet didn't manage to put it out at that stage makes him stupid
most of the times a fire is started from a cigarette it's because a smoker tossed it away in a hurry and walked away - a person doesn't need to be stupid to act like that
I don't care if the guy was stupid in his actions, I still feels sorry for him and his wife as well, as the neighbour that died. There are people I see on the internet that I would avoid in real life and he's not one of them.

But that didn't happen here. The fire started because the dude felt the need to play with matches/the lighter in a closed room that had tons of burnable materials in it, which he then even used to make the whole thing worse.
Oh man....I feel so bad for everybody involved in this. Including the guy in the video. Yes, it is a WTF!? maneuver that led to the disaster, but anybody is capable of doing something like this. Hard to watch. Again, feel bad about this. The cute female Japanese voice talking over the video makes it somehow worse.

I didn't see the continuing series of mistakes he made. Sounds kinda stupid. Still feel bad for him and everybody affected.

This guy was a brave one,... tries like 5secounds with a peice of cardboard, gives up and runs away to let it just burn down.
