Forums - Microsoft - Is microsoft in the beginning of the end of their console cycle?

Sorry I don't see it... If anything they are trying to unite their ecosystem to better occupy each front... They need to be present and relevant in all space for their own sake... Mobility, PC, electronic entertainment...and professional and sell the MS brand all those markets....

Nope.

I can't say for where Nintendo will be next decade, but when Sony spends $380m on Porting Playstations exclusives to Samsung TV's and NOT on another  Spider-Man film, I know who's looking to abandon ship on hardware.

PSVita 2? Next-gen Cell Processor? Sony VAIO? Where you at?

I thought the beginning of the end was in November 2001?

Nope, things are just getting started.

Not sure, but the struggling global sales and endless bundles does remind me if Sega and the Dreamcast ending.

what struggling sales??? It's selling better than the 360 did... So the 360 struggled too???

and please you probably don't know anything about Sega downfall if you even compare both situations.... And DC never ended to this day games are still releasing on the platform..

??????????????? The Dreamcast never had endless bundles I'm thinking you reaching on that one.

OT:  No the X1 is still ahead of the 360 at this point.

That doesn't take much dude. This gen is soooo old that people are ready to move on and upgrade. The WW sales of the XB1 are far behind where they should be if you extrapolate from NA. Additionally, if you compare it to a PS4 based extrapolation the XB1 is NOT doing as well as you think and you are just drinking Microsoft's Kool aid.

Well if you think the X1 is doing bad then you are drinking hatorade.   It might not sell nearly as good as the PS4 but its miles ahead of the Wii U.

If you extrapolate from NA, the Xbox 1 is ahead of 360 by 50% and PS3 by 80%....

Additionally if you compare Sonys fiscal year to Microsofts fiscal year, Sony will be out of cash by 2019 and MS will be $ 120 billion richer...they really can just wait it out.
