Not a fan of the Amiibos, but given how succussfull they have been, and how high the profit margins must be on those tiny plastic toys they sell for a fortune,im guessing there here to stay.

Making amiibo doesn't come at the cost of game development you know... It's not like these developers all of a sudden decided to quit their game developer jobs and started making amiibo instead...

At least Nintendo isn't selling us season passes of $50.

No instead they've been selling DLC behind these figurines, selling them at $13 and releasing a hundred of them. Like, somehow that's any better.

Locked content is locked content, it's just a bunch of DLC locked behind it. Downplay it all you want, not surprised you're downplaying it anyways.
