Not a fan of the Amiibos, but given how succussfull they have been, and how high the profit margins must be on those tiny plastic toys they sell for a fortune,im guessing there here to stay.

Making amiibo doesn't come at the cost of game development you know... It's not like these developers all of a sudden decided to quit their game developer jobs and started making amiibo instead...
