Which of the big 3 are gonna stop hardware manufacturing first?

Sony's Playstation 32 11.00%

Nintendo 54 18.56%

XBOX 205 70.45%

Total:291

Sony will not as Playstation is currently keeping the company in profits.

Nintendo will not. Even if home consoles stop they will always make a handheld in some form.

Microsoft will end theirs first in my opinion. Xbox costs them a lot of money and most of their games come out on PC anyway.

Definitely not Sony unless they're seeing something we don't know in terms of home console.

NX guarantees Nintendo will be here for at least another year, but if it does poorly it's up in the air.

MS is up in the air too. They have not won a console war yet and unlikely to win one this gen as well. The Wii really screwed them over along with their lack of exclusives last gen.

Really hard to say... Sony and Microsoft is doing pretty well now, but I don't see Nintendo wanting to go full 3rd party if ever.

Probably Xbox or Nintendo due for various reasons. Sony has a very big stake in hardware for the businesses overall profitability, whereas Xbox isn't squat for Microsoft as a whole, and Nintendo has been flubbing a lot with hardware.

MS.

Xbox has been a cash sink since day one.
-5B is the result of first Xbox, 360 had the RROD shithurricane, Xbone is trampled by PS4...

Microsoft. It's not even a question. There's a reason they've built Xbox into Windows 10 and why almost every first party game is cross platform, so they have an exit strategy if they want to use it. Nintendo could be bleeding money for decades before they stop making consoles, and PlayStation's so important to Sony that they'd probably have folded by now if not for it.

Xbox

Obviously not Nintendo.

Is probably MS, they just don´t need it.

But I find amazing that nobody thinks it will be Sony despite being almost in bankrupt for years just little time ago, is probably the only one of the 3 that would have not survived to a fail homeconsole this gen.

Sony makes most of its profits outside of the PS division.

That's technically true, but only because they hemorrhage money out of their electronics division, which PS is often thrown into when people discuss financials. Last I checked PS alone is their third most profitable division behind Sony Music, which are both WELL below their insurance stuff.
