I'm fine with both, but I like manual saves more.

Both, using separate slots, with the auto-save being useful for when I forget to save manually. Basically, I want full control of my saves, but having a safety backup is appreciated.

Just don't make me fight the system, please. I had to shut off auto-save in GTA5, and the game kept complaining that it couldn't save. TLoU had me making two manual saves every so often just to bypass the "constant auto-saving in the most recent save slot" BS.

Auto saves will screw you when it comes to trophies. Play a mission, fuck something up, have it auto save without you knowing and need to try again? Nope... it's saved. Too late.

game dependent. some story games it makes more sense to have auto saves, others it makes more sense for you to be able to choose manual saves (e.g. about to try something you suspect is very dumb in a RTS, RPG or game which has serious downsides for death/failure), other games a mix of both. So you are missing the option of both.

Eh. I don't really care, as long as it doesn't have both. I hate that. But really, I hate games that let you quick save, unless they're meant to be really easy like Pokemon. Glorified cheat buttons.

Manual, but a bit of autosaving is good too. Like Pokoko said, a mix would be great.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Manual save, because i'm old-school.

I never use auto-save in a game if manual is here.

Both obviously, autosave is handy to not lose any progress, manual is handy to have a back-up of a certain point. I also always use both, and, if possible, a quick-save option.

If I had to choose one of them though, autosave it would be, I can't tell you how much total progress I've lost over the years because some game crapped out.

Both, I do backup saves before I do something stupid sometimes and then reload the good save after I do the stupid thing and it auto saves but I generally like the auto saves.

Like in ME when you do a decision you wouldn't normally do, just to see what it does.

Hmm, pie.
