I don't get it. She doesn't really look like Tharja.

...She doesn't even have huge breasts

Better?

Drat, if Lucina ever gets in this game, she should get boobs.

I've seen the character. I used her tranformation because generally they seem to resemble the characters' mirages. For instance Tsubasa becomes a Pegasus Knight like her mirage, Shiida; Itsuki becomes a Lord (well... he uses a sword and has a regal appearance) like his mirage Chrom. I don't really see the resemblance between Kiria and Tharja.

And while her bust is respectable, there are at least two major characters with larger ones. Didn't Tharja supposedly have the biggest, boingiest bits?

......On another note, is Barry Goodman supposed to be a play on Benny Goodman? It seems odd, but Mamori is specifically pinned as a fan of Showa-era songs, which covers a broad time period from the 1920s to the 1980s and seems to generally refer to the influence of Western music in Japan, including Jazz. I'm no expert here. This is just what I surmised from some light Wikipedia scanning.

Seems to be about on par, in my opinion.

But anyways, I think Kiria and Tharja are fairly alike. They seem to have similar serious/dark personalities, physical likeness (poses, facial expressions, etc.) and she's a part of the mage class. Furthermore, the "Kuro" in her name means black, likely a reference to black or dark magic.

That's a good catch. I haven't really see Kiria's personality come out yet, she just seems like an idol so far, doesn't seem malicious at all.

I guess there's no hard rule saying the characters have to be similar to their mirages. So far the two characters we know the most about are pretty standard hero types because they're the main characters and their mirages are pretty standard hero types because they were main characters in their own games. Tharja has a specific personality but I guess there's no reason Kiria would have to share it.

Another thing to think about is Kiria's song Reincarnation, which was played in the first real trailer for the game (and later during the E3 Treehouse, which showed her performing it in Shibuya). The translated lyrics went like this:

I want to destroy
Will you be able to heal me from loneliness, from pain
And all things I had cherished
(Reincarnation, Realization, Reincarnation)
I want to disappear

Sounds of a city that never sleeps, the melancholy of these fake smiles
These real motive hiding, someday, somewhere as we had never seen them
Even if nobody speak about things as insecurity, we know about it

I want to destroy
These courageous acts I had cherished
But then, I won’t be able to be honest
Even if I’m lost or in trouble, if you ever ask me,
At least, I’ll destroy this pain and this loneliness
(Reincarnation, Realization, Reincarnation)
I want to reincarnate

But yeah, I think they'll be similar but obviously not duplicates (which is fine, as I don't think any of the characters will end up like that). Eleonora and Virion will perhaps be the most entertaining couple to see merge, as their appearances are quite different (though their personalities seem similar as well).

Looking forward to seeing the form Tharja herself takes in the game though. I'm imagining a much more dark and dramatic rendition, much like Chrom.

I have no idea why she looks like that as well. Also, those chicks are hot! Who are they?

Interesting. And here I just thought she was repeating "rise and shine" a bunch of times.

As for Tharja, as with the other mirages I assume her face will be hidden, which means her curves will be taking their rightful place as her defining physical feature. I expect her to be dressed even more provocatively than in Awakening.

Well the girl with the Caeda mirage doesn't act like her at all.

But... you made the thread! You don't recognize the main female character of #FE?

Tsubasa is the main female character, a high school student who wants to be an idol.

Maiko is her manager or something.

Yeah, the song's tone is deceiving as hell. I'm sure the Japanese were incredibly confused when they first saw the trailer, since they could actually understand the lyrics.

I definitely expect her to be more provacative. The game in general is, so for her to be otherwise would be a sham and there would be riots in Japan. Atlus must give the people what they want.
