Considering the last of us is number 3 on the list your premise is false. There are games of a wide variety on that list many that are hight in story atmoshere soundtrack and pacing and character development 3 above minecraft.  Most games on that list could be argued  up or down even on or off the list. Tetris doesn't fit many of the things you mention but it's still high on the list because not all those things are needed for games to be fun, or thrilling.

That list has a wide variety of games on it, it is too focused on newer games to really be a list of all time. Many here agree chrono trigger should be on the list, at the same time many here do feel 10 is an ok spot for minecraft. Sure it doesn't have what some games you like better have, but it has plenty that many gamers love and keep going back to and haven't found better in any other game.

Okay, you are really just intentionally ignoring our arguments now.

You know, part of what makes Minecraft so great is that it allows people to create pretty much anything they want to. You may just dismiss this as "creativity", which according to you is lesser than story, atmosphere, etc. But here's the thing, people use their creativity and have made stories that actually are rather good. They are called adventure maps.  They feature a lot of what you ask for. Minecraft can be pretty much anything you want it to be, especially when you use mods, due to that creativity and freedom, which I dare say there is no other title that can offer the same in the same scope and design.

And yes for you guys... Destiny has the best fps gunplay with so many variances that makes it better than Halo 3 (I always posted that in another thread).

The game is something else from Bungie.

PS. DriveClub deservers to be in the list too.

did they mention 'of all time'? because the list has too many recent games. they should double check the previous list they have and try to insert newer games and see where would it fall into the list.

why a MOBA game is on the list as part of the greatest 100. really bad. it should easily been DOTA 2. :D just kidding, there shouldn't be any MOBA as part of the greatest games.  It attracted a lot of gamers but it doesn't mean it is really a 10/10 game. 

Games like Super Meat Boy, Nidhogg, etc. do not belong on this list.
