Forums - Gaming - Shuhei Yoshida says Wii U is his favorite non-Sony console

- Yoshida said during a session at EGX 2015 today that the Wii U is his favorite non-Sony console. His reasoning? Because he plays a bunch of Wii U games with his daughters.

- Yoshida is no stranger to praising Nintendo, in 2013 he spoke highly of Super Mario 3D and praised the Wii U console:

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Seeing as XB1 and PS4 are pretty similar aside from the exclusive games, it makes sense he would choose the Wii U as his favorite non-Sony console tbh, the games we have on Wii U can't be played anywhere else.

Nintendo is important to the success of PlayStation. Nintendo often introduce a younger audience to gaming who then often move on to PlayStation as they grow up. With more children playing mobile games it will be harder to sell them on future PlayStation consoles as its not something they grew up with and are familiar with.

Wonder how he feels about Mario Maker

That over XB1 is not surprising. I think 3DS is better myself

Lol. This is true. I started out as a Mario and Pokemon fan before seeing the light with Playstation. Haha

Yeah he's praised the console before so that shouldn't be a surprise. especially considering he has 2.

People are forgeting WiiU isn't the only non-Sony console besides X1... there are all the other that came before... I really like SNES and somewhat N64... but considering natural evolution I'm certain WiiU is a lot better

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Even he likes it.

Liar. It his favorite because he doesn't have to think about how to regain its market share XD

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
