Nintendo's total lack of ability to sell traditional consoles this generation, the fact that the world is slowly becoming less reliant on physical copies of media (hello Netflix etc) and the total rise in dominance in tablets. All my children all his friends, all my nephews, nieces etc all now have Tablets not 3ds's. Where as 10 years ago all my lil bros had DS's and so did his mates. That is where I deduced my facts from.

How many software droughts do you see on your phone or tablet? Also a unified platform would mean every Nintendo release is on one platform. I don't know how many games Nintendo released last year but 3DS deffo got the lions share

Well maybe but then I count most off the crap on Wii U store as shovel ware. It's mostly crap and real sad to see it update with like 3 games a week.

Hmm maybe but as the old saying goes if ya can't beat em join em and lets face it, Nintendo can't beat apple, Samsung, Sony and Microsoft.  If I was Nintendo I would be liking a chunk of that huge mobile entertainment  business we call Istore and playstore.
