WiiU owners really like walking down the street among blurheads it seems.

It came for free in the beginning, but was announced right of the bat that it will not stay so, so many took the freebie while they could. Also probably the reason for some VC titles, which sometimes started with 50-80% off during their first week.

Interestingly, Earthbound is actually the opposite. It's priced a couple of bucks higher than other SNES games, at least in the US, yet it places fairly high.

Earthbound is a bit of a special case considering the game was a highly acclaimed flop in the US and the cartridges sell for 200$ starting price at eBay. It also has a higher price in europe like all import titles (the game had not been released in europe prior of the Wii U version), but it still manages to sell really well. In both case, the reason is probably a legendary mix of reputation of the game and rarity of the origial cartridge.

Well, sure. Doesn't make it less interesting. I mean, it's ahead of Super Metroid, which they were practically giving away during the NES 30th Anniversary promotion, and which also has a legendary reputation.

I actually paid for Wii Street U hehe. It's excellent. Probably the best experience you can have with StreetView, which isn't saying much, but it can be a necessity. (navigating with a mouse on PC is a nightmare)

I recommend to take a walk in Shibuya to anyone who has it installed.

Do we have any digital estimates for the US? I thought I recalled NPD giving them out occasionally, but I could be misremembering.

Tbone has them. I just sent him a message on his wall. He'll receive it when he's on. I know we were able to figure Metroid Prime trilogy surpassed like 140-160K on it's first week.

MPT is the sixth best selling eshop game in my country (fifth actually, that street thing doesn't count).

For Belgium? I doubt it. Given the size of the country it will be peanuts though. Splatoon is 19th. WW HD first (not counting the street thing).
