I was very hyped to played Nintendo's first HD console! I just couldn't stop imaging games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and others all in wonderful HD. So far alot of the games have came through but I am still waiting on Metroid and Zelda (non remastered)

Hype doesn't end with age. Maybe you were either just drained or perhaps you had a case of overhype.

Well, you can at least stop imaging Zelda. Too bad we cannot say the same about Metroid...

Nah. Was very hyped during the E32014 and TGA Zelda footage. I can't contain the hype!

No. Wii was disappointing.

Nope, never was because I didn't follow gaming at the time :p

Bought at launch and really enjoyed the few games I had but it went sour with the commercial failure of it, piss poor specification and general exodus of third party publishers. It didn't really have the exclusives to justify the purchase and multiformat games were worse than on ps3 and 360. Another penny pinching Nintendo product that had to rely on Nintendo's own software to give it any meaning. A disappointing Nintendo console to go with the wii. Absolutely adored the nes, snes, N64 and Gamecube and hopeing the NX is a return to decent capable hardware that is at least competitive and not 6 years out of date at launch.

I was very hyped for Wii U, and it has turned out to be a very worthwhile experience. A fantastic console, home to a fantastic library of games. I adore the gamepad and its versatility, and the pro controller is one of the best out there (dat 80 hours battery life)

I bought Wii purely off of hype and enjoyed it very much. It was my first Nintendo console. When it comes to Wii U - there was no hype present, not for a single second. The moment Reggie unveiled the console and started talking BS about it "being the most powerful, hardcore, blah, blah, blah" I felt enfuriated that they treat me like an idiot. No hype at all, the console isn't worth its price. At this point I'm only gonna get it dirt cheap and only if NX isn't BC or doesn't get all major Wii U games ported.

I was crazy excited. Preordered mine and grabbed it with NSMB U, Call of Duty, Nintendo Land, and a pro controller. I had a blast from launch and it went on for years. Not playing it much since Splatoon, though.
